Made for every celebration
- Bridal showers
- “How well do you know the bride?” with questions only her closest friends could answer.
- Baby showers
- Baby names, nursery rhymes, or guesses about the parents-to-be.
- Birthdays
- The guest of honor’s life in twelve questions, from a fifth birthday to an eightieth.
- Anniversaries and retirements
- Decades of memories, turned into a game everyone can play.
- Family reunions
- Family history, inside jokes and who’s who, for every generation at the table.
Why it works at a party
It gets guests talking. Strangers at the same table compare answers and swap stories.
Anyone can play: grandparents, teenagers, the plus-one who’s never met the bride.
It’s personal. No two puzzles are the same, because it’s all about your person.
How it works
-
Write your questions
Questions about the guest of honor, each with a one-word answer.
-
Choose a grid size
Smaller for a quick game, bigger for a real challenge. Create, and the puzzle is built for you.
-
Print one for each guest
Download a printer-ready PDF, plus a color answer key so the host can crown the winner.
Game ideas
First to finish wins a prize.
Play in teams, one puzzle per table.
Read the answers aloud at the end. That’s where the best stories come out.
Party planning questions
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it's free, and you can make and print a puzzle without an account. A free account lets you save your puzzle to reprint or change for the next party.
How many questions should I write?
About 12 makes a good party game: enough to keep everyone busy for ten or fifteen minutes. Bigger grids allow more, up to 33.
What makes a good question?
One with a one-word answer that close friends would know and other guests could guess: a favorite food, a first pet, where the couple met, the honeymoon destination. Answers can be up to 20 letters.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. One click downloads a color answer key with every word marked in the grid and every answer listed, so the host can check papers and crown a winner.
What size should I print?
The download is a PDF sized for US Letter paper, so it prints at the right size. Print one for each guest. A PNG image is available too.
Can guests play on their phones?
These puzzles are made for paper. For a wedding reception, our sister site Us.FunAndReverence makes an interactive version guests play on their phones by scanning a QR code.
